It never ceases to amaze me how quickly a house can be dramatically transformed with a little paint and Professional Staging. When we first entered this home in the Pine Ridge Development in Bushkill, PA, it felt very bland, cold, univinting and the rooms looked VERY small and awkward. I even had trouble imagining how to layout the living Room and small, unusually shaped bedroom on the Lower floor.
No wonder this home has been sitting on the market with no buyers. There was really very little to attract them based on the the MLS photos and if buyers are not excited by what they see there...they will continue to pass on by and look elsewhere. Well...not anymore!!! Look out MLS...here we come!
Here are some before and afters of the project and what we did to make buyers take notice!
Before...white walls, Bland, bland, bland...windows were odd too because this is a low wall and they go down to the floor. Kind of made you feel like Alice in Wonderland!
After... Sleek and stylish! Alice would love to live here now.
Before...blah,blah,blah...stools make everything look more dated, light fixture looks lonely.
After...much more modern and you get a much better sense of the scale of the space.
Before...Kitchen was lacking umph! They had a open shelf for the microwave yet it sat taking up precious space on the countertop.
After...much warmer and inviting....microwave has found it's proper home!
Before...This room was so small and awkward you were hard pressed to think of what could even fit in here...was it an office? Well... since there are only 2 bedrooms in the home it had to be one of them!
After... there was only one place you could fit a bed in here without squashing it to the wall and this was it! Now buyers can see how this could function as a bedroom and now it doesn't seem small at all.
Before...Master looked long, awkward and a bit sad. Border and pinky walls have got to go as well as the dark staining from the heaters over the years.
After...buyers can appreciate a more neutral, fresh setting. (You will understand why we choose art with some pink in it after you see below the Master bath just off to the right.)
Before...Pink, Pink and more pink! I did suggest they paint the vanity and cedar tub white but the sellers were adamant about keeping them the color they were.
After...We were able to get the tub done but had to work with the dated vanity...we always do the best we can with what we are given!! :)
