"How to conquer"

Joy is the sovereign balm for all the ills of the world. There is nothing that Joy and Love cannot do. Set your standard very high. Aim at conquering a world, the world around you.

Just say, "Jesus conquers"--"Jesus saves"-- in the face of every doubt, every sin, every fear.

No evil can stand against that, for there is "none other name under Heaven given amoung men, whereby men can be saved." To every thought or want or lack, "Jesus saves from poverty," to every fear, Jesus saves from fear." Do this to every ill and it will vanish, as night when sun arises.

If you read my post yesterday, you will know that I have some conquering to do. There are areas of my bussiness that I need to overhaul. I was letting it overwhelm me for a while but I am definitely on my way to conquering it. Not that I will get it all accomplished at once, but I am conquering the "fear" that I am associating with the tasks at hand. "With God all things are possible"....and we will conquer together! Boy am I glad he is on my side, I just need to keep reminding myself to step aside so he can do his thing!!!

The Way will open

You must be renewed, remade. Christ, Christ, Christ. Everything must rest on me. Force is born of rest. Only love is a conquering force. Be not afraid, I will help you.

Be channels, both of you. My Spirit shall flow through and my Spirit shall, in flowing through, sweep away all the bitter past.

Take heart. God loves, God helps, God fights, God wins. You shall see. You shall know. The way will open. All my Love has ever planned, all my Love has ever thought, you shall see each day unfold. Only be taught. Just be a child. A child never questions plans. It accepts gladly.

I choose this "God Calling" today because I needed the reminder. It is so easy to get caught up in life's challenges. So easy to doubt, to question this or that. God tells us again and again..."Be not afraid, I will help you." But do we believe it?? Do we trust, or do we let fear paralyze us at times and prevent us from relying on God's promise to see us through.

"Everything must rest on me." I pray we all remember to place our days, our situations, our lives, in His most loving care and to know, that in His time...the way will open!

 Ok, I have seen Motivational Monday and Wordless Wednesday, (just thought of Thankful Thursday but searched Active Rain and found that group)...so I thought...why not Faithful Friday??

I was sitting at my computer, wondering what to post tonight ( I am on day 9 of "30 post in 30 days") There are so many thoughts, so many blogs in my head, I even have a spreadsheet where I keep track of all my AR ideas so I am never stumped for inspiration. But tonight I thought, why not let my inspiration come from somewhere else. Not sure yet where this will lead...you will have to read on...

It's Friday, it has been a long, busy, productive week. I spent most of it finishing a monster staging project (5 bedroom, 4 bath, Owner Occupied home) and when I wasn't working on that, I was running from event to event...mandatory Confirmation class meeting for my daughter, soccer practice, choir rehersal, etc...

This past week I have listened to live Jazz in the rain, hugged an 18 year old that buried her 30 something brother over the weekend, found out my 30 something year old friend has an aggressive form of cancer..."not in his business plan for September", he writes on Facebook on his 5th day of chemo.

Life is crazy, busy, complicated, unpredictable, unfair and so I think to myself..."How do people cope who do not have faith???" Not very well I would imagine. So this post is now a prayer... join me if you like... 

I pray for all those who are suffering this week and do not have faith. I pray that God will find a crack in their exterior and begin to seep in. That is all he needs is a crack. Sometimes that crack can come from us... showing love, concern, compassion, faith to those who are suffering and need to know they are not alone. I pray that we recognize this need in those around us, that we "look up" from our busy lives and see where we may be called to start a crack and then leave the rest to God... yet... remembering always to pray for them so that the crack will widen and the wall, piece by Peace, will come tumbling down!

Whew!...so now that we got Faithful Friday out of the way, what do you think about Trusting Tuesday, Spiritual Saturdays and Soulful Sunday? Then we have the whole week covered!
