Absolutely NO paper in the toilet...pretty please!

REALLY???  So does that include toilet paper too? Isn't toilet paper supposed to go in the toilet?

SELLERS...If you want your potential buyers to head for door as fast as they would head to the toilet if they had dysentery, here's what you do. Put a sign on the back of your toilet that makes them conjure up all sorts of nasty, stinky images in their mind and suggest that this house may have septic issues!!!

I saw this note on the back of one of the toilets in a client's vacation property we will be Staging next week. So what are we thinking here? What message are we sending potential buyers? Sure, that was very polite of them to use good manners, but seriously... what are buyers going to think??

Let's face it...no one wants to even think of anything to do with toilets when they are looking to buy a property. Just imagine the mental images it conjures up not to mention the possible implications of some potentially big problems.

There may not be a "big" problem at all. I will have to ask the homeowner and see if they know what the issue is and if it is something that can be resolved easily or needs further investigating.

So, Pretty Please sellers...don't kill the deal before you get one. "Rectify" (pardon the pun) the problem if possible or talk to your agent about disclosing or what they recommend as far as the proper procedures in these matters....I am quite sure it will not be a crude, yet very polite sign such as this!!!
